Job Title: Concrete Quality Executive / QC Executive
Department: Quality Control
Location: Concrete/RMC Plant
Reporting To: Quality Control Engineer / Quality Manager
Job Summary
The Concrete Quality Executive is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the quality of concrete and raw materials at the RMC/Concrete Plant. The role involves testing, inspection, documentation, and ensuring that concrete production complies with approved mix designs, specifications, and applicable quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the quality of incoming raw materials such as cement, sand, aggregates, water, and admixtures.
- Conduct routine tests on raw materials as per approved procedures.
- Carry out fresh concrete tests such as slump, temperature, workability, and other required tests.
- Prepare concrete cube specimens and maintain proper identification and records.
- Monitor concrete production as per approved mix designs.
- Check batching accuracy and coordinate with the Plant Operator for any deviations.
- Maintain quality control records, test reports, registers, and documentation.
- Coordinate with site/project teams regarding concrete quality and testing requirements.
- Monitor cube testing and maintain compressive strength records.
- Identify quality deviations and report them to the QC Engineer/Quality Manager.
- Assist in investigating concrete quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory/testing equipment.
- Ensure proper sampling, testing, labeling, storage, and handling of specimens.
- Conduct regular inspection of plant and laboratory conditions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS codes, project specifications, and company quality procedures.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards in the laboratory and plant area.
- Support internal quality audits and prepare required documentation.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- B.Tech in Civil Engineering preferred.
Experience
- 1–4 years of experience in RMC, concrete, construction, or quality control.
- Freshers with relevant Civil Engineering qualifications may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of concrete and construction material testing.
- Knowledge of concrete mix design and basic quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with relevant IS codes and testing standards.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Basic computer knowledge, especially MS Excel and Word.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work at plant and project sites.
- Willingness to work in shifts when required.
