We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Executive for the USA logistics market. The candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and promoting our freight forwarding, drayage, trucking, warehousing, and transloading services to customers in the USA.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, knowledge of logistics operations, and the ability to close profitable business deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and close business for US & Canada freight shipments. Responsibilities include prospecting shippers, cold outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn), securing truckload shipments, and building client relationships in the logistics industry.
- Generate new business leads in the USA market through cold calling, emails, LinkedIn, and networking.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with importers, exporters, freight forwarders, and direct shippers.
- Promote company services including ocean freight, air freight, drayage, trucking, transloading, warehousing, and customs-related coordination.
- Understand customer shipping requirements and provide suitable logistics solutions.
- Coordinate with operations and pricing teams to offer competitive quotations.
- Follow up regularly with clients for inquiries, quotations, and shipment closures.
- Negotiate rates and service terms with customers to secure business.
- Maintain daily sales activity reports including calls, emails, meetings, and closed business.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and revenue goals.
- Keep track of market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements in the USA logistics industry.
- Support in resolving client issues and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of USA logistics and supply chain industry.
- Knowledge of drayage, trucking, rail ramp, transloading, warehousing, port operations, and freight forwarding.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Good email drafting and follow-up skills.
- Confidence in cold calling and business development.
- Ability to work under targets and deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and email communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years / 38 years of experience in logistics sales, freight forwarding sales, or USA market business development.
- Experience in dealing with USA clients will be preferred.
- Existing customer base or industry contacts will be an added advantage.
