Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with over 10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and financial controls. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in GST, VAT, financial accounting, cost accounting, statutory compliance, and manufacturing finance processes.
The role requires a proactive professional capable of managing end-to-end accounting functions, supporting management with financial insights, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct account reconciliations, including bank, vendor, customer, and intercompany accounts.
- Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial analysis for management review.
Taxation & Compliance
- Handle GST compliance, including return filing, reconciliations, audits, and assessments.
- Manage VAT-related compliance and reporting requirements where applicable.
- Ensure timely payment and compliance of statutory obligations.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Keep updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards.
Manufacturing Finance & Costing
- Monitor manufacturing costs and analyze production variances.
- Support inventory valuation and stock reconciliation processes.
- Ensure accurate accounting of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Analyze cost structures and recommend cost-control measures.
- Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Oversee vendor payments and customer collections.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and improve cash collection processes.
Internal Controls & Audit
- Strengthen internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of accounting experience, with significant exposure to the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of GST, VAT, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in inventory accounting and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
- Advanced knowledge of zoho books and Microsoft Excel.
