Job Title: Production Planning & Control (PPC) ManagerJob Summary:
The PPC Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, timely delivery, and optimal use of resources. The role involves demand forecasting, production scheduling, inventory control, and coordination between departments.
Key Responsibilities:1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and implement production plans based on customer orders and forecasts
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed
2. Inventory & Material Management
- Ensure availability of raw materials and components for production
- Coordinate with procurement and stores for material planning
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking
- Monitor stock movement and reduce wastage
3. Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with departments like procurement, production, quality, and sales
- Ensure alignment between demand and production capacity
- Resolve production bottlenecks and workflow issues
4. Monitoring & Reporting
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), and inventory turnover
- Prepare MIS reports and production analysis
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
5. Process Improvement
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
- Optimize production processes to reduce costs and improve productivity
- Improve planning systems and workflows
6. Compliance & Quality
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and company policies
- Support audits and compliance requirements
- Maintain documentation related to production planning
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Operations Management
- Proven experience in production planning or manufacturing operations
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Good understanding of supply chain and inventory management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Experience:
- Typically 5–10 years in manufacturing or production planning roles
- Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role preferred
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
