A Deputy Project Manager (Structure) manages the structural engineering and construction of flyovers and viaducts. Working alongside a Project Director/Manager, they oversee site execution, structural QA/QC, and vendor coordination while ensuring compliance with stringent IRC and IS standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:-
Structural Execution: Directing the construction of heavy civil structures including pile foundations, pier caps, box segmental bridges, and pre-stressed concrete (PSC) girders.
Quality & Compliance: Ensuring all structural works align with approved drawings, method statements, and technical specifications (e.g., MoRTH, IRC, and IS codes).
Planning & Scheduling: Creating micro-schedules and allocating manpower, machinery, and materials to keep structure work aligned with the project master schedule.
Stakeholder Coordination: Interfacing with design consultants, client representatives (e.g., NHAI, BDA, or BMRCL), and safety officers to eliminate on-site bottlenecks.
Resource & Cost Management: Reviewing contractor bills, tracking material reconciliation, and monitoring project financials to prevent budget overruns.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills :-
Education: B.Tech. / B.E. in Civil Engineering.
Experience: 10 to 15 years in heavy infrastructure with specific expertise in highway, metro, or elevated road structures.
Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with project management and drafting tools like MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
Core Competencies: Deep knowledge of post-tensioning, girder launching methods, and deep foundation execution
Local Candidate with Kannada Language Prefered.
