Roles and Responsibilities:
Automation Work:
- Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC programs (Mitsubishi, Delta, Siemens etc) and HMI applications.
- Configure and maintain VFDs, AC Drives, servo drives, sensors and industrial communication networks.
- Establish PLC-HMI communication using Ethernet/IP, Modbus, RS485, CC-Link and other industrial protocols.
- Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of automated machines and electrical systems.
- Support machine installation, commissioning, relocation, and automation upgrades.
- Diagnose electrical and automation faults and implement effective corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Configure recipe management, multilingual HMIs, and remote monitoring/IoT solutions where applicable.
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical panels, interlocks, safety circuits, and machine control systems.
- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), PM schedules and documentation.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of critical automation components.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve machine performance and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company maintenance procedures.
Maintenance Support:
- Assist in preventive, predictive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and plant machinery.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and support timely repair or replacement of defective components.
- Assist in machine installation, commissioning, relocation, and modification activities.
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical panels, interlocks, safety circuits and machine controls.
- Monitor machine performance, conduct routine inspections, and maintain maintenance records.
- Follow electrical safety standards and participate in safety initiatives and compliance activities.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Continuously update technical knowledge and support process improvement initiative
Education: BE/ BTech/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ related field (Mandatory).
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in Manufacturing and working with PLCs, AC Drives and SPM is mandatory. Should be good in English and have good technical knowledge.
Location: Virar (Company Bus service available from Virar station to factory)
