Proposal Engineer – Mechanical

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimating Engineer to join our growing team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimations, coordinating with internal departments and clients, and supporting tendering, bidding, and project execution activities.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring commercial competitiveness, project feasibility, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end activities related to enquiries, tenders, and estimation.
- Prepare Pre-Qualification Documents (PQDs) and vendor registration documents.
- Maintain enquiry tracking records and documentation.
- Review technical drawings, MTOs, BOQs, and identify missing information.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams for technical/commercial clarifications.
- Prepare detailed cost estimation and pricing sheets.
- Coordinate with Purchase team for material pricing and lead times.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations.
- Coordinate with Operations team for feasibility and delivery schedules.
- Finalize estimates and obtain internal approvals.
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial quotations to clients.
- Prepare GAD, QAP, and related documents after receipt of Purchase Order.
- Maintain ISO documentation and supplier database.
- Coordinate with execution and dispatch teams during project lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and fabrication processes
- Knowledge of tendering and procurement portals
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in coordination with multiple departments
- Willingness to travel as required
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in estimation, tendering, or project coordination
- Exposure to mechanical fabrication, pipe supports, structural components, or industrial equipment will be an added advantage
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
