The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of LT/HT Electrical Panels, PCC, MCC, APFC, AMF, PDB, MDB, SMDB, VFD Panels, Control Panels, Feeder Panels and other electrical switchboards.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
- Ensure timely manufacturing of electrical panels as per project schedules.
- Monitor production progress and resolve shop-floor issues.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Quality, Stores and Project teams.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machines, tools and materials.
2. Panel Manufacturing & Assembly
- Supervise panel fabrication, busbar processing, component mounting, assembly and internal wiring.
- Ensure manufacturing is carried out according to approved GA drawings, SLDs, wiring diagrams and BOMs.
- Check proper installation of breakers, contactors, relays, meters, CTs, terminals, busbars and other electrical components.
- Ensure proper busbar sizing, dressing, insulation, clearance and termination.
- Monitor panel finishing, gland plate installation, cable termination and labeling.
3. Testing & Quality
- Coordinate routine testing and inspection of completed panels.
- Ensure testing of insulation resistance, continuity, functional operation and control circuits.
- Coordinate with the Quality/Testing team for inspection and rectification.
- Identify manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and applicable standards.
4. Manpower Management
- Allocate work to electricians, wiremen, fabricators, technicians and helpers.
- Monitor manpower productivity and attendance.
- Train and guide production workers on safe and correct manufacturing practices.
- Maintain discipline and ensure proper work allocation on the shop floor.
5. Material & Inventory Coordination
- Verify availability of required electrical components and raw materials before production.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase departments for material shortages.
- Minimize material wastage and control production losses.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of electrical components.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily production reports and maintain production records.
- Track production targets versus actual achievements.
- Maintain records of rework, rejection, material shortages and production delays.
- Provide regular production updates to the Production Manager / Management.
- Maintain relevant inspection and testing documentation.
7. Safety
- Ensure compliance with electrical and shop-floor safety procedures.
- Ensure workers use appropriate PPE.
- Maintain safe working conditions around electrical testing and manufacturing areas.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents and equipment-related hazards.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical panel manufacturing processes.
- Good understanding of LT/HT switchgear and electrical components.
- Ability to read and understand SLD, GA, schematic, wiring and control drawings.
- Knowledge of busbar fabrication and assembly.
- Knowledge of panel wiring, cable termination and ferruling.
- Knowledge of electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of production planning and manpower management.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
Preferred Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- ITI Electrical candidates with strong panel manufacturing experience may also be considered for the Production Supervisor position.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
