Ensures successful data structure and configuration of products and associated data through the consistent application of policies, procedures, training, and quality standards. Supports the development and promotion of data and process standards while leveraging integrated systems knowledge to optimize data flow and meet business requirements. Uses problem-solving expertise to resolve information issues related to production and order processing and supports the total order cycle to meet customer expectations.
Develop and maintain product configuration data, Bills of Material, and manufacturing routings within integrated business systems.
Create and manage complex configuration rules to support product models, validation, pricing, and manufacturing processes.
Develop and execute testing strategies to ensure product configurations align with product design intent and marketing requirements.
Create and manage change orders to document and implement product and process data changes for new product introductions and ongoing business maintenance.
Analyze engineering change requests and understand Bill of Material redline changes.
Troubleshoot system, process, and data issues using root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, data cleansing activities, and process standardization efforts.
Provide guidance and training to team members while serving as a subject matter expert on product systems and data management processes.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Alternatively, two years of formal education from a technical school, college, or certification program in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Systems Engineering.
0 to 3 years of experience working with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
Strong knowledge of SAP modules including materials, Bills of Material, routings, variant configuration, price conditions, and sales order structures.
Extensive experience with SAP Variant Configuration, including classes, object dependencies, configuration profiles, and Super Bills of Material.
Knowledge of manufacturing business practices, systems, and product documentation processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, work effectively in cross-functional teams, and utilize advanced technical applications.
