Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Manager to manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for company operations. The candidate will be responsible for vendor coordination, price negotiations, purchase order processing, and ensuring timely delivery of materials while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers/vendors based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare and process purchase orders as per company requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, invoices, and vendor databases.
- Coordinate with stores, accounts, and project/site teams regarding material requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory planning.
- Compare quotations and prepare cost analysis reports.
- Ensure purchased materials meet company quality standards.
- Resolve supplier-related issues including delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
- Maintain compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in procurement or purchase activities.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or electrical industry is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Purchase software.
