Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all manufacturing activities to ensure the timely production of high-quality transformers. The role focuses on achieving production targets, optimizing resources, maintaining quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to meet delivery schedules and production targets.
- Coordinate with Planning, Purchase, Stores, QA/QC, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth production flow and timely availability of materials.
- Ensure adherence to manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety procedures while minimizing rework and production losses.
- Monitor productivity, machine utilization, manpower allocation, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead and develop the production team through training, performance monitoring, and effective supervision.
- Prepare production reports, analyze key performance metrics, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in transformer manufacturing or a similar electrical equipment manufacturing industry, including experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
