Salary & Benefits
Monthly Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹50,000 per month (Salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, skills, and overall expertise.)
In addition to the monthly salary, employees will be eligible for attractive performance incentives upon achieving both individual sales targets and overall store sales targets, as per the company's incentive policy. Approved overtime work will be compensated in accordance with the company's overtime policy. About the Role
Ivan's Luxury Eyewear and Opticals is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Optometrist to join our team at our Vennala showroom. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional eye care while providing a premium customer experience that reflects our luxury brand. You will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, recommend suitable vision solutions, and assist customers in selecting the best eyewear to meet their visual and lifestyle needs while contributing to the store's sales and customer satisfaction goals.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Optometry (B.Optom) or Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Minimum 4–5 years of post-qualification experience in an eye clinic, optical retail, or premium eyewear environment.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in operating modern optometric diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent communication skills in Malayalam and English (Hindi is an added advantage).
- High level of clinical judgment and attention to detail.
- Professional appearance and customer-oriented attitude suited to a luxury retail environment.
- Ability to explain prescriptions, premium lenses, and eyewear solutions confidently.
- Strong sales orientation with the ability to convert consultations into customer satisfaction and business growth.
Registration:
- Current registration with the relevant Optometry Council/Board is preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Eye Care
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, refraction, and vision assessments with accuracy.
- Diagnose refractive errors and recommend appropriate vision correction solutions.
- Interpret prescriptions and provide suitable recommendations based on customer requirements.
Customer Consultation & Sales
- Provide professional consultation on premium spectacle lenses, coatings, contact lenses, and luxury eyewear.
- Assist customers in selecting frames that best suit their prescription, lifestyle, and preferences.
- Recommend premium lens solutions and eyewear products to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Contribute towards achieving individual sales targets and support the team in meeting overall store sales targets.
Dispensing & Quality Assurance
- Verify prescription accuracy before dispensing eyewear.
- Ensure all spectacles meet quality standards before delivery.
- Assist with contact lens fitting and provide patient guidance where applicable.
Clinical Operations
- Maintain clinical equipment and ensure it is properly calibrated and hygienic.
- Keep accurate patient records and examination reports.
- Follow all clinical and company protocols to maintain the highest standards of eye care.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the sales team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Support store operations and contribute to achieving business goals while maintaining excellent customer service.
