Job Description:
MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School, Barshi is seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and overall well-being among students. The ideal candidate should be passionate about sports and capable of organizing physical education programmes and coaching students in various sports activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct Physical Education classes for students as per the school curriculum.
- Promote physical fitness, health awareness, and sportsmanship among students.
- Train and coach students in various indoor and outdoor sports activities.
- Organize sports events, annual sports meets, tournaments, and fitness programmes.
- Identify and nurture talented students for inter-school and state-level competitions.
- Maintain discipline and ensure student safety during sports activities.
- Manage and maintain sports equipment, grounds, and related resources.
- Assess students' physical fitness and participation in sports activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and school authorities for co-curricular and extracurricular programmes.
- Uphold the values, policies, and standards of the institution.
Qualification:
- B.P.Ed. / M.P.Ed. from a recognized university.
- Relevant coaching certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Physical Education Teacher in a reputed school.
- Experience in coaching multiple sports disciplines and organizing sports events will be preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications and strong sports backgrounds may also apply.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of physical education, fitness, and sports training.
- Excellent communication and student management skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Good organizational and event management abilities.
- Knowledge of sports safety and first-aid practices.
Salary:
As per institutional norms and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
