Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to manage the procurement of interior design and construction materials for ongoing projects. The candidate should have strong vendor management skills, cost negotiation experience, and a good understanding of interior fit-out materials and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
KRA - Procurement / Purchase Role
Research potential vendors
Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
Enter order details (e.g., vendors, quantities, prices, purchase orders) into internal databases (ERP)
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
Negotiate pricing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
Create scopes of work
Create purchase orders for procurement and expedition of materials and equipment for jobs
Ensure accurate take-offs to ensure budgets are accurate
Research new materials for design and cost savings
Develop and implement new purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification
Assist in ensuring awareness and company compliance with all building codes and local construction guidelines
Assist in maintaining company quality control program
Leverage technology, safety measures, and information sharing to increase productivity and profitability
Assist in settling invoice or contract disputes
Maintain sub/supplier information on company online management systems
Manage materials/equipment inventory
Pay: ₹750,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
