Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Purchase Analyst with specialized experience in the procurement of rice, pulses, and spices, and a preffered background in international purchasing and export operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing market trends, sourcing suppliers, negotiating purchase terms, and ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of agricultural commodities across global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze global and regional market trends for rice, pulses, and spices to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate procurement risks.
- Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with international suppliers and exporters, ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Execute purchase orders and contracts in alignment with company procurement policies and budgetary objectives.
- Collaborate with logistics and export teams to coordinate international shipments, customs documentation, and ensure timely delivery.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimize costs and service levels.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast procurement needs to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
- Prepare analytical reports on purchasing activity, cost-saving opportunities, and supplier performance.
- Stay informed of international trade regulations, duties, tariffs, and compliance standards affecting agricultural imports/exports.
- Identify and implement process improvements in procurement and export operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in purchasing and international trade, preferably in the agricultural commodities sector (rice, pulses, spices).
- Understanding of import/export procedures, international logistics, and global sourcing is a plus.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of international quality standards and food safety certifications (e.g., HACCP, ISO, FSSAI) is a plus.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
