The Mechanical Piping Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising piping installation works related to oil & gas pipelines and metro water pipeline projects. The role involves ensuring quality standards, safety compliance, and timely completion of piping works as per project specifications and drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise installation of pipeline systems for oil, gas, and water transmission projects.
- Review engineering drawings, P&ID, isometric drawings, and pipeline layouts before execution.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and project teams for smooth project execution.
- Ensure pipeline works are executed according to project specifications, standards, and approved drawings.
- Monitor activities such as pipe laying, welding, fabrication, hydro testing, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and safety regulations at the project site.
- Inspect materials such as pipes, fittings, valves, flanges, and welding consumables before installation.
- Coordinate with quality inspectors for NDT, pressure testing, and inspection procedures.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, work schedules, and site documentation.
- Assist in material estimation, BOQ verification, and site measurement activities.
- Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions at the site.
- Ensure project work is completed within timeline, budget, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Additional certification in Pipeline Engineering
- preferred candidate who speak Tamil Very well
- preferred the candidate willing to travel
- preferred Immediate Joiner
Experience
- 1– 8 years of experience in pipeline projects.
- Experience in Oil & Gas pipelines, water transmission pipelines, or metro water projects highly preferred
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
