Job Summary
Shreyas Cartons Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and skilled Ink Matching Chemist to handle ink preparation, shade matching, colour correction and quality control for printing operations. The candidate will be responsible for achieving accurate colour shades as per approved samples and maintaining consistency throughout production.
Candidates having experience in Offset Printing / Offset Ink Matching will have an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and match printing inks as per approved colour shades, samples and job requirements.
- Develop accurate ink formulations by mixing appropriate pigments, bases, solvents/additives and other required materials.
- Perform colour matching and shade correction during production.
- Ensure consistency of colour shades from one batch/job to another.
- Conduct ink testing and maintain required colour and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Production, Pre-Press and Printing teams for shade requirements and corrections.
- Check and adjust ink viscosity, strength, tone and other relevant parameters as required.
- Troubleshoot colour/shade variations during printing and provide appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain records of ink formulations, shade approvals, corrections and consumption.
- Ensure proper identification, storage and handling of inks, pigments and chemicals.
- Minimize ink wastage through proper formulation, handling and reuse wherever applicable.
- Support production during new jobs, repeat orders and colour-critical printing requirements.
- Follow company safety procedures while handling chemicals, pigments and other materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the ink preparation and matching area.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in Ink Matching / Ink Preparation / Colour Matching in the printing industry.
- Good understanding of colour shades, pigments, bases, additives and ink properties.
- Ability to identify colour variation and make accurate shade corrections.
- Knowledge of printing processes and practical production requirements.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under production timelines and meet shade approval requirements.
- Good coordination with production and printing teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Offset Printing / Offset Ink Matching will be an added advantage.
- Experience in packaging, commercial printing, carton printing or related printing industries will be preferred.
- Candidates with practical experience in handling colour matching and ink formulation will be given preference.

Compensation
₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month, depending on relevant experience, technical skills and suitability for the position.
