Job Description
The Kubernetes L3 Engineer will be responsible for the advanced management, automation, and troubleshooting of containerized infrastructures with a strong focus on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Container Apps. The role involves executing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments, managing CI/CD pipelines, leading P1/P2 calls, and providing high-level support for critical environments. The engineer will ensure availability, scalability, and reliability across Kubernetes and cloud platforms while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, Azure Container Apps, and containerized workloads across environments.
● Perform troubleshooting and resolution for complex issues related to Kubernetes clusters, networking, ingress controllers, and scheduling.
● Implement and manage automation workflows through Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks.
● Oversee CI/CD pipeline execution and integration using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
● Lead and coordinate resolution during critical P1/P2 incidents, managing technical bridges and client communications.
● Perform Kubernetes upgrades, patching, and configuration optimization to ensure reliability and compliance.
● Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Application teams to integrate container platforms with build and deployment processes.
● Design and implement monitoring and logging solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Azure Monitor.
● Apply cloud-native security practices and implement RBAC, secrets management, and compliance configurations.
● Maintain and optimize resource utilization, autoscaling, and workload balancing within Kubernetes environments.
● Document all operational processes, technical designs, and issue resolutions.
● Mentor L1 and L2 teams on Kubernetes troubleshooting, CI/CD integration, and incident response.
Required Skills and Experience
● Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes infrastructure administration, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
● Good understanding of Azure Container Apps and other PaaS container orchestrations.
● Proficiency in IaC with Terraform and configuration management automation tools.
● In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipeline management using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
● Skilled in troubleshooting Kubernetes components such as pods, services, deployments, and ingress controllers.
● Expertise in Helm chart management and Kubernetes upgrades.
● Familiarity with Azure cloud services like ACR, VNet integration, network policies, and managed identities.
● Knowledge of container registry management, image security scanning, and deployment best practices.
● Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and integrations.
● Proven ability to lead troubleshooting and resolution during P1/P2 incidents with cross-team coordination.
● Understanding of ITIL-based operations, change, incident, and problem management.

● Strong documentation skills to maintain SOPs, architecture diagrams, and RCA reports.
● Clear and effective communication skills for client interactions, incident bridges, and stakeholder updates.
● Ability to lead P1/P2 incident calls under pressure, ensuring transparency and structured resolution.

● Cross-functional collaboration skills for working with Cloud, Network, and DevOps teams.
Certifications and Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
● Kubernetes certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) preferred.
● Microsoft certifications like Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect desirable.
● Terraform Associate certification or equivalent IaC experience preferred.
● ITIL Foundation certification is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹3,500,000.00 - ₹3,800,000.00 per year
