Job Title
GS & English Faculty – NDA (National Defence Academy)
Job Summary
The GS & English Faculty for NDA is responsible for preparing students for the NDA written examination, focusing on General Studies and English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Sentence Improvement, Error Spotting).
- Teach General Studies, including:
- History
- Geography
- Polity
- General Science
- Current Affairs
- Follow the latest NDA syllabus and exam pattern.
- Prepare and deliver structured, exam-oriented lectures.
- Develop study material, notes, worksheets, and practice questions.
- Conduct regular tests, mock exams, and doubt-clearing sessions.
- Evaluate answer sheets and provide constructive feedback.
Student Development
- Improve students’ reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
- Build awareness of defence forces, national issues, and current events.
- Motivate students with discipline, time management, and exam strategy.
- Coordinate with SSB faculty (if required) for holistic NDA preparation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation/Post-Graduation in English, Humanities, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Prior experience in NDA/CDS/Defence exam teaching preferred.
- Strong command over spoken and written English.
- In-depth knowledge of UPSC-level GS content.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to teach complex topics in a simple and engaging manner.
Experience
- 1–5 years of relevant teaching experience (freshers with strong subject command may also apply).
