Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Purchase Executive with experience in the IVD (In-Vitro Diagnostics) and/or Pharma Formulation industry. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing raw materials and chemicals, vendor management, purchase requisition (PR) to purchase order (PO) conversion, and ensuring timely availability of materials required for production and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete procurement cycle independently from PR to PO conversion.
- Source and procure raw materials, chemicals, consumables, and packaging materials required for manufacturing.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best quality, price, and delivery terms.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Compare quotations, prepare comparative statements, and finalize orders after approval.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid production disruptions.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality Assurance, and Finance departments for smooth procurement operations.
- Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement activities accordingly.
- Maintain procurement records, documentation, and vendor databases.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards.
- Resolve supplier-related issues regarding quality, quantity, and delivery timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Science, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Additional certification in Procurement/Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
Required Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement.
- Mandatory experience in IVD, Diagnostics, Biotechnology, Pharma Formulation, or related manufacturing industries.
- Hands-on experience in procurement of raw materials and chemicals.
- Proven experience in handling PR to PO conversion independently.
Required Skills
- Strong vendor development and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.
- Good understanding of raw materials, chemicals, and related supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
