Saletar Operator – Dyeing Unit
The Saletar Operator is responsible for the accurate weighing, preparation, and issuing of dyes, chemicals, and auxiliaries as per approved dyeing recipes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring shade accuracy, process consistency, and smooth dyeing operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately weigh dyes, chemicals, and auxiliaries according to dyeing recipes and batch requirements.
- Prepare chemical solutions and dye mixes as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure correct labeling of prepared chemicals and batches to avoid mix-ups.
- Follow instructions from the Dyeing Supervisor / Colour Store Supervisor regarding shade and process requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the saletar/chemical preparation area.
- Handle dyes and chemicals safely in compliance with safety and environmental guidelines.
- Record chemical consumption and report discrepancies or shortages.
- Support dyeing machines by ensuring timely availability of prepared chemicals.
- Minimize wastage, spillage, and contamination during weighing and preparation.
- Assist in stock checking and housekeeping activities when required.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of textile dyeing chemicals and processes.
- Experience in a dyeing unit or colour store is preferred.
- Ability to read and follow dyeing recipes and instructions accurately.
- Awareness of safety practices related to chemical handling.
- Physically fit to handle routine weighing and preparation tasks.
- Willingness to work in shifts as per production requirements.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹29,428.03 per month
