Job Description
We are seeking a PLC/SCADA Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in industrial automation. Candidates with hands-on experience in any major PLC platform (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta, ABB, Beckhoff, WAGO, Codesys, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
The selected candidate will be involved in PLC programming, SCADA/HMI development, electrical control system integration, testing, commissioning, and technical support for industrial automation projects. Training will be provided on our standard platforms and project requirements where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using industrial automation platforms.
- Design and configure SCADA and HMI applications for process monitoring and control.
- Perform I/O mapping, control logic development, and system testing.
- Configure and integrate field devices such as sensors, transmitters, actuators, and control valves.
- Configure VFDs, servo drives, and industrial communication networks.
- Assist in panel testing, FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
- Prepare engineering documentation including I/O lists, wiring diagrams, functional descriptions, commissioning reports, and operation manuals.
- Diagnose and resolve automation system issues during commissioning and after project handover.
- Coordinate with project engineers, design teams, vendors, and customers to ensure timely project execution.
- Adhere to company quality, safety, and documentation standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in PLC/SCADA-based industrial automation projects.
- Experience with any PLC programming software such as Siemens TIA Portal/STEP 7, Rockwell Studio 5000, Schneider EcoStruxure Control Expert, Mitsubishi GX Works, Omron Sysmac/CX-One, Codesys, Delta ISPSoft, ABB Automation Builder, or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of SCADA/HMI development.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, CAN, or OPC is preferred.
- Good understanding of electrical control panels, instrumentation, and industrial automation systems.
- Willingness to travel for site installation, commissioning, and customer support.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, VBScript, C#, or Java will be an added advantage.
