Crewing Administrative Assistant
Job Description
The Administrative Assistant shall have the following qualifications:
- Formal secretarial education or the equivalent training and working experience;
- A good command of the English language;
- Typing / computer knowledge.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for:
- Managed crew insurance claims by coordinating with the P&I Club, insurers, and medical providers for crew illness, injury, hospitalization, repatriation, and compensation cases, ensuring timely documentation and claim submission.
- Maintained claim records and monitored claim progress, liaising with vessels, crewing teams, and insurers to resolve queries, track settlements, and ensure compliance with company procedures and maritime regulations.
Following up on general correspondence;
Maintaining the company designated Data system;
Scheduling and coordinating seafarers’ interviews;
Scheduling and coordinating seafarers’ briefings;
Printing Seafarer Employment Agreements, when requested;
Applying for different flag state documents;
Checking and forwarding of mail to the vessels;
Maintaining of records and documents;
Being adequately conversant with the Company’s Management System;
Implementing effectively the Company’s Management System;
Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement;
Any other special tasks as may be assigned.
The Administrative Assistant reports to and is accountable to the Crewing Superintendent.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
