About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer / Team Lead to lead our DevOps function and drive automation, cloud infrastructure, security, scalability, and continuous delivery practices across multiple enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise along with leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the DevOps team.
- Design scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure.
- Architect enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Implement GitOps practices using ArgoCD or Flux.
- Build disaster recovery and backup strategies.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability standards.
- Improve deployment frequency and system reliability.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and security teams.
- Conduct code reviews for infrastructure automation.
- Manage cloud costs and optimize infrastructure usage.
- Implement DevSecOps best practices.
- Define deployment standards and operational documentation.
- Participate in production incident management and root cause analysis.
Required Skills
- 6–8 years of DevOps experience.
- Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Advanced Kubernetes administration.
- Docker container orchestration.
- CI/CD using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Configuration management using Ansible.
- Linux system administration.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go).
- Monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki, CloudWatch, or Datadog.
- Networking concepts including DNS, Load Balancers, VPNs, SSL, Firewalls, and VPCs.
- Database administration basics (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with security scanning tools and secrets management.
- Experience managing production infrastructure at scale.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead a team of DevOps engineers.
- Define DevOps roadmap and best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Coordinate release planning.
- Improve deployment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Manage production incidents and post-mortems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on infrastructure strategy.
- Evaluate and introduce new DevOps tools and technologies.
