Job Summary
J. K. Subsea Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical CAD Draughtsman with basic knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD. The candidate will support the design and drafting of subsea and hyperbaric equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality technical drawings.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Generate fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and detailed part drawings
- Assist in design modifications based on engineering inputs
- Maintain proper drawing records, revisions, and documentation control
- Support production team with shop floor drawings and clarifications
- Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and company practices
- Coordinate with engineers, QC, and fabrication team for design accuracy
- Perform basic calculations and material take-offs (BOM)
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings and documentation
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of SolidWorks (3D modeling & assemblies)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD (2D drafting)
- Understanding of engineering drawings, dimensions & tolerances
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining – basic level)
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to learn and adapt in a technical environment
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Exposure to pressure vessel / marine / subsea equipment drawings
- Basic understanding of GD&T
- Knowledge of Excel for BOM preparation
