We are looking for an investment professional to join the Climate Finance team in the function of a
This role offers the opportunity to originate and structure debt transactions with climate finance players and contribute to the further development of our direct lending strategy in the region.
Your Main Tasks
- Originate debt investment opportunities in the climate finance space, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate relevant infrastructure, e-mobility, and food systems

Lead end-to end-deal execution, including sourcing, due diligence, financial modelling, credit appraisal legal documentation of prospective investments

Structure and negotiate debt & debt-like transactions in line with the risk/return expectations of responsAbility-managed funds.

Draft and present investment proposals to the relevant investment decision bodies

Lead negotiations of legal documentation with support from legal advisors

Lead thematic inputs in relevant market segments and technologies

Expand the sector-specific network across the region, by engaging with key stakeholders

Contribute to the further development of the investment strategy across Sub-Saharan Africa, in close collaboration with key stakeholders

Liaise with teams located in Cape Town, Mumbai, Tbilisi, Zurich.
Your Experience and Skills
- 8+ years of investment experience in the climate finance space

Post Graduate degree in economics, business administration, finance, or comparable from a top academic institution

Proven deal experience in climate finance, demonstrated through structured debt or equity deal references

Extensive experience in leading due diligence processes in emerging markets

Strong network among climate technology focused companies across Sub-Saharan Africa

Proven business development and relationship management skills, and ability to travel frequently across the region

Proficient analytical, writing and presentation skills

Excellent business English language skills, with French as an asset

Passionate about climate finance and impact investments; enjoys working with, and easily adapts to, different cultures
