BrainsterStudio is looking for a creative and skilled Reel Editor / Short-Form Video Editor to join our team full-time.
The candidate should have strong experience in editing Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and other short-form social media videos. We are looking for someone who understands modern editing style, hooks, pacing, captions, transitions, music, sound effects, and trend-based content.
The ideal candidate should be able to turn raw footage into engaging, clean, premium, and scroll-stopping videos for brands and social media campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and short-form videos.
- Add captions, text animations, transitions, effects, music, and sound effects.
- Create engaging opening hooks to improve audience retention.
- Edit videos according to current social media trends.
- Work with raw footage, scripts, brand guidelines, and creative briefs.
- Maintain a clean, modern, and professional editing style.
- Coordinate with the content and creative team.
- Deliver videos within given deadlines.
- Suggest creative improvements for better video performance.
- Ensure every video matches the brand tone and visual quality.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in reel editing or short-form video editing.
- Strong knowledge of editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, VN, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Good understanding of Instagram Reels and short-form content trends.
- Strong sense of music, timing, cuts, pacing, and storytelling.
- Ability to add engaging captions and motion text.
- Basic knowledge of social media content formats.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work full-time from office.
- Good time management and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with brands, agencies, influencers, or businesses.
- Knowledge of color grading, sound design, and motion graphics.
- Basic thumbnail or reel cover design knowledge.
- Understanding of viral reel formats and retention-based editing.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
Requirements
- Portfolio or sample reels are mandatory.
- Candidate must have at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Must be available for full-time on-site work.
- Should be comfortable taking feedback and making revisions.
- Should be able to deliver high-quality edits consistently.
Salary
₹25,000 to ₹30,000 per month
Salary will depend on experience, skill level, and portfolio quality.
