Duties of an E-commerce Manager (Online Sales Focus)1. Online Sales Management
- Plan and execute strategies to increase online sales revenue
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance
- Set and achieve sales targets across marketplaces and D2C platforms
- Analyze sales trends, conversion rates, and average order value
2. Marketplace Management (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.)
- Manage Seller Central and Vendor Central accounts
- Optimize product listings including titles, keywords, images, and descriptions
- Plan and execute deals, discounts, and festive sales campaigns
- Manage pricing strategy and Buy Box performance
- Monitor account health metrics such as returns, cancellations, and order defect rate
3. Digital Marketing and Promotions
- Manage marketplace advertising including Amazon PPC
- Coordinate Google Ads and Meta Ads for website sales
- Plan influencer and affiliate marketing activities
- Track advertising spend, ROAS, and customer acquisition cost
- Optimize campaigns to improve conversion and profitability
4. Data Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare regular sales and performance reports
- Analyze traffic, conversion, and customer behavior
- Use Excel, Google Analytics, and marketplace reports
- Identify underperforming products and recommend corrective actions
5. Inventory and Order Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking
- Forecast demand based on sales data and seasonality
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams
- Reduce return rates, RTO, and delivery delays
6. Team and Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with catalog, marketing, logistics, and customer support teams
- Work with external vendors, agencies, and marketplace account managers
- Assign targets and monitor team performance
7. Customer Experience and Review Management
- Monitor customer feedback, ratings, and reviews
- Resolve customer escalations and service issues
- Improve product content based on customer insights
- Drive repeat purchases and customer loyalty initiatives
8. Compliance and Platform Policies
- Ensure adherence to marketplace policies and guidelines
- Handle listing issues, warnings, suspensions, and appeals
- Coordinate with finance and compliance teams for GST and invoicing requirements
9. Growth and Expansion Strategy
- Launch new products on online platforms
- Expand business to new marketplaces and regions
- Improve website user experience and checkout flow
- Develop long-term online growth strategies
