Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lab In charge to lead the quality control laboratory in our PVC Wire and Cable manufacturing unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of our products through rigorous testing and analysis.
Role & Responsibilities :
- Quality Control Testing:
- o Strong knowledge of IS 694:2010, IS 1293:2019 and IS 9968:1988 &
- UL 758 standards.
- o Oversee all laboratory activities, including raw material testing, in-
- process inspections, and finished goods testing.
- o Conduct and supervise a variety of physical, chemical, and electrical
- tests on raw materials (e.g., PVC resin, copper conductor),
- intermediate products, and finished cables (e.g., tensile strength,
- elongation, insulation resistance, voltage withstand).
- o Utilize and maintain laboratory equipment such as tensile testers,
- insulation resistance testers, high voltage testers, microscopes, and
- analytical balances.
- Quality Data Management:
- o Maintain accurate and detailed records of all test results and laboratory
- activities.
- o Generate reports on product quality, test results, and any non-
- conformances.
- o Analyze test data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Laboratory And instrument Management:
- o Manage laboratory inventory, including chemicals, reagents, and
- consumables.
- o Ensure the proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory
- equipment.
- o Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Quality Assurance:
- o Collaborate with production personnel to ensure adherence to quality
- standards and specifications.
- o Investigate and resolve quality issues promptly.
- o Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- for non-conformances.
- BIS Inspection: Good experience to conduct BIS inspection for product
- licenses and their renewal process
- Team Management:
- o Supervise and guide laboratory technicians in their daily tasks.
- o Train new laboratory personnel on testing procedures and laboratory
- safety.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- o Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards (e.g. ISI, UL &
- IEC) and regulatory requirements.
- o Stay updated on the latest testing standards and industry best
- practices.
Required Skills :

- o Good record-keeping and data analysis skills.
- o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- o Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Education: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a
- related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in a quality control laboratory in a PVC
- Wire and Cable manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- o Strong understanding of testing methods for PVC wire and cable &
- Power cords.
- o Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and instruments.
- o Knowledge of quality control methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001).
- o Good understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
