About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and research-driven Scientist (Chemistry / Biomedical) to lead the development of biodegradable and sustainable materials for next-generation bedsheets. This role sits at the intersection of material science, sustainability, and product innovation, with a strong focus on real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and synthesize biodegradable materials (polymers, composites, eco-friendly fabrics)
- Conduct theoretical validation of material properties and performance
- Perform lab-scale experiments and develop proof-of-concept prototypes
- Ensure biocompatibility, non-toxicity, and environmental safety
- Collaborate with product development and quality control teams for scaling and commercialization
- Document research findings and contribute to intellectual property (patents/research papers)
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Material Science, or related field
- Strong understanding of polymer science, biomaterials, or sustainable materials
- Experience in lab experimentation and material synthesis
- Knowledge of biodegradability standards and testing methods
- Ability to translate research into practical, scalable solutions
Preferred Skills
- Experience with textile-based materials or eco-friendly fabrics
- Familiarity with regulatory standards for medical or sustainable products
- Prior experience in startup or product-driven environments
- Strong problem-solving and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
