Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Safety Supervisor to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance at our real estate and construction project sites. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in construction site safety, a strong understanding of statutory requirements, and the ability to promote a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation and compliance of safety policies, procedures, and standards at project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by workers and staff.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases and prepare reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and workers to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain safety records, registers, permits, and statutory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, construction safety regulations, and company safety guidelines.
- Assist in emergency preparedness and response planning.
- Monitor housekeeping standards and safe work practices at the site.
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma / Degree in Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Safety Supervisor, preferably in the Real Estate / Construction Industry.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards, risk assessment, and accident prevention.
- Familiarity with statutory safety requirements and site safety documentation.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to handle multiple site activities and coordinate with different teams.
Preferred Skills
- Safety certification (Industrial Safety, OSHA, NEBOSH, etc.) will be an added advantage.
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and report preparation.
- Ability to train and motivate workers regarding safety practices.
Salary
