Job Role-Purchase Engineer

4–6 Yrs Exp (Manufacturing/Machine Shop)
₹26k–₹45k/month (3.2 LPA – 5.4 LPA)
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Procurement: Manage RFQs, quotation comparisons, negotiations, and PO generation for raw materials, tooling, and factory consumables.
- Vendor Management: Develop reliable supplier networks for raw materials (steel, castings, forgings) and tooling (CNC, VMC, HMC); conduct audits and onboarding.
- PPC & Stock Planning: Coordinate with PPC/Production to align material/tooling schedules and eliminate stock-outs or downtime.
- Cost Optimization & QA: Negotiate pricing and terms, drive cost-reduction initiatives, and work with QA/QC to resolve vendor rejections.
- Maintenance & MIS: Procure maintenance spares, safety gear, and factory supplies; maintain records and rates in Zoho/Excel.
*Requirements & Skills*
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's/Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 4–6 years in manufacturing procurement.
- Core Skills:Strong negotiation, vendor evaluation, cost analysis, and deep knowledge of machine shop materials/tooling.
- Software: Proficiency in Zoho (Purchase Module) and MS Excel.
- Preferred:Experience purchasing VMC/CNC/HMC tooling and managing vendor schedules based on PPC requirements.
