Role Overview
Candidate will be responsible for managing procurement operations to ensure timely availability of veterinary medicines, surgical supplies, equipment, consumables, and hospital essentials. The role requires strong vendor management, negotiation skills, and compliance with hospital standards to support smooth clinical and operational functions.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management
· Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for veterinary medicines, surgical instruments, consumables, and hospital equipment.
· Ensure timely procurement to avoid stockouts and maintain optimal inventory levels.
· Prepare purchase orders and track deliveries against requirements.
Vendor & Supplier Relations
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
· Conduct vendor audits and performance evaluations.
· Knowledge of alternate vendors available in market, specially for medical equipment’s, consumables, pharmacy stores etc to get the best possibles prices.
Inventory & Cost Control
· Collaborate with the stores and pharmacy team to monitor stock levels.
· Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
· Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and contracts.

Compliance & Documentation
· Ensure adherence to hospital policies, veterinary regulations, and statutory requirements.
· Maintain proper documentation for audits and certifications.
Cross-functional Coordination
· Work closely with veterinary doctors, nursing staff, and administration to understand procurement needs.
· Support emergency purchase requirements promptly.
· Co-ordination with central purchase team
- Rate contracts finalisations and timely closure in coordination with CPC
Qualifications & Skills
· Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
· 4–6 years of experience in procurement/purchase, preferably in healthcare, veterinary, or pharmaceutical sectors.
· Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
· Knowledge of veterinary medicines, consumables, and hospital equipment will be an advantage.
· Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent procurement needs.
· Ethical, transparent, and committed to quality standards.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
