Qualification - UG/PG (Hospital Administration)
Experience - minimum 3 years
Roles and responsibilities of a Quality Executive in a hospital:
1. Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation
- Implement and maintain hospital quality standards (e.g., NABH, JCI).
- Develop and update policies, SOPs, and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
2. Accreditation & Compliance
- Coordinate accreditation processes (NABH/NABL/ISO).
- Prepare departments for audits and inspections.
- Ensure continuous adherence to accreditation standards.
3. Monitoring & Audits
- Conduct internal quality audits across departments.
- Track non-conformities and ensure corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics.
4. Patient Safety & Risk Management
- Promote patient safety practices and protocols.
- Monitor incident reporting (e.g., medication errors, falls).
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement improvements.
5. Documentation & Record Control
- Maintain quality records, reports, and audit documentation.
- Ensure proper version control of policies and procedures.
- Standardize documentation practices across departments.
6. Training & Awareness
- Conduct training sessions on quality standards and safety.
- Educate staff on infection control, patient rights, and protocols.
- Support continuous learning and quality improvement culture.
7. Infection Control Coordination
- Work closely with infection control team.
- Monitor hospital-acquired infection (HAI) data.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene and sterilization protocols.
8. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze quality indicators and patient feedback.
- Prepare reports for management review meetings.
- Suggest improvements based on data trends.
9. Patient Feedback & Satisfaction
- Monitor patient satisfaction surveys.
- Address complaints and feedback systematically.
- Implement service quality improvements.
10. Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
- Identify areas for improvement in clinical and non-clinical services.
- Lead quality improvement projects.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
11. Coordination with Departments
- Work with doctors, nursing staff, and administration.
- Ensure quality initiatives are implemented hospital-wide.
- Facilitate interdepartmental communication on quality issues.
