About Dora Dori
Dora Dori is a contemporary women's fashion brand focused on creating premium ethnic and fusion wear with exceptional craftsmanship. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Fabric Merchandiser to support our merchandising team in sourcing, coordinating, and managing fabrics throughout the product development and production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing fabrics, trims, and other raw materials as per design requirements.
- Coordinate with fabric vendors and mills for quotations, sample developments, and bulk orders.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of fabrics and trims.
- Maintain fabric swatches, sample libraries, and supplier records.
- Track purchase orders, fabric receipts, and pending deliveries.
- Coordinate with the Design, Production, and Quality teams to ensure smooth execution of collections.
- Maintain fabric consumption sheets, costing data, and merchandising reports.
- Ensure all required approvals for fabric quality, color, and specifications are completed before production.
- Monitor inventory of fabrics and report shortages or delays.
- Update merchandising trackers, ERP/Excel sheets, and documentation regularly.
- Assist in resolving vendor-related issues and communicate updates to the merchandising team.
- Support seasonal sourcing activities and market visits when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, Textile Design, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in fabric merchandising, sourcing, or textile coordination.
- Basic understanding of fabrics, textiles, garment manufacturing, and sourcing processes.
- Good communication and vendor coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of woven and knitted fabrics.
- Understanding of dyeing, printing, embroidery, and fabric finishes.
- Experience working with local fabric markets and suppliers.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is an added advantage.

Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month (Based on experience)
