Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Machine Shop Plant Head to lead and manage the overall operations of our machining plant. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in CNC machining, production planning, quality, manpower management, and continuous process improvement to achieve production targets efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the complete machine shop operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Plan, monitor, and control daily production activities to ensure maximum machine utilization.
- Manage CNC, VMC, HMC, Turning Centers, and other machining operations.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments for smooth workflow.
- Ensure on-time delivery of machined components as per customer requirements.
- Monitor production efficiency, OEE, rejection, rework, and downtime, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and customer specifications.
- Lead manpower planning, training, performance monitoring, and team development.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to minimize machine breakdowns.
- Control production costs and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and present performance to management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7–8 years of experience in a machining components manufacturing company, with experience in leading machine shop operations.
- Strong knowledge of CNC/VMC/HMC machining processes, tooling, production planning, and quality systems.
- Experience in handling production teams and achieving production targets.
- Good leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and ISO quality standards will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
