As a Physical Design Engineer, a typical day involves transforming logical circuit schematics into detailed physical layouts while focusing on optimizing critical parameters such as area, power consumption, and timing performance. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align physical design strategies with overall project objectives.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Physical Design.
- Strong understanding of placement and routing methodologies to optimize circuit layouts.
- Experience with clock tree synthesis and timing closure techniques.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability and design rule checks to ensure compliance with fabrication constraints.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot physical design issues in collaboration with verification and timing teams.
- Knowledge of industry-standard physical design tools and workflows.
