Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled SolidWorks & CAD Operator to join our kitchen equipment manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed 2D/3D drawings, fabrication drawings, and layouts for commercial kitchen equipment as per project requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for commercial kitchen equipment.
- Develop shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Create and modify Sheet Metal drawings including bends, thickness, and welding details.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) as per drawings.
- Coordinate with the production, QC, and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Update drawings based on client feedback, site conditions, and design changes.
- Ensure drawings comply with food-grade standards, safety norms, and company guidelines.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of drawings.
- Support installation and commissioning teams with technical clarifications when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and sheet metal design.
- Strong knowledge of SS fabrication, welding symbols, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret kitchen layouts, SFDs, and technical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of BOM, BOQ, and costing support is preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
