Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities and ensure the timely availability of materials required for business operations. The role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, issuing purchase orders, coordinating with internal departments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships while ensuring cost optimization and quality standards. The ideal candidate should possess excellent negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills with experience in procurement, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Source, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors for raw materials, packaging materials, medical consumables, equipment, and other operational requirements.
- Obtain quotations, compare pricing, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize purchase agreements.
- Maintain healthy relationships with existing suppliers and identify alternative vendors to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Monitor vendor performance based on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and service levels.
Purchase Operations
- Create and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
- Track purchase orders from issuance to delivery and ensure timely procurement. Coordinate with vendors regarding order status, shipment schedules, and delivery timelines.
- Verify purchase invoices, delivery challans, and procurement documentation for accuracy.
Inventory & Coordination
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Operations, Finance, Quality, and other departments to understand procurement requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stock shortages or overstocking.
- Support inventory planning based on consumption patterns and demand forecasts. Resolve procurement-related issues and ensure uninterrupted business operations.
Cost Optimization
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
- Conduct market research to benchmark pricing and identify new procurement opportunities.
- Support budgeting and procurement planning initiatives.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and purchase documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Prepare procurement reports, vendor performance reports, and purchase analytics for management review.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Materials Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain Operations.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
