JOB DESCRIPTION :
Position : QA Manager/ MR
Location : Hosur, Tamilnadu
Key Responsibilities
· Process Quality Assurance: Oversee quality standards and in-process/final inspections across stamping/press shop, sheet metal fabrication (MIG/TIG/Spot welding), electroplating, and powder coating lines.
· Surface Treatment & Coating QC: Enforce strict testing protocols for plating (bath chemistry, adhesion, salt spray/corrosion resistance) and powder coating (DFT, gloss, curing, surface pre-treatment).
· Quality Systems & Core Tools: Maintain and audit IATF 16949 and ISO standards. Drive APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA across all product launch and production phases.
· Problem Solving & CAPA: Lead root cause analysis for internal rework/scrap and customer complaints using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone methodologies to implement effective permanent corrective actions.
· Vendor & Customer Quality: Interface with OEM customers during quality audits and manage supplier quality for incoming raw materials, chemicals, and tooling.
· Process Improvement: Champion First Time Right (FTR) initiatives, scrap reduction, and continuous improvement (Kaizen / Six Sigma) on the shop floor.
· Team Leadership: Mentor and manage the QA/QC engineering team, setting KPIs and driving a strong quality culture.
· Previous experience of working experience as MR is mandatory
Qualifications & Skills
· Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical
· Experience: 10–15 years of quality experience in the automotive manufacturing sector, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
· Technical Expertise:
o Hands-on exposure to sheet metal press operations, welded assemblies, electroplating processes, and powder coating lines.
o In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949 core tools and metrology/testing equipment.
· Certifications: Internal Auditor for IATF 16949 or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
