Position Summary
The Medical Social Worker will support patients, families, and communities through counseling, community outreach programs, health education, and coordination of social welfare activities under the Community Medicine Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide counseling and guidance to patients and their families.
- Conduct community health awareness programs and field visits.
- Assist in organizing medical camps, surveys, and public health activities.
- Coordinate with NGOs, government agencies, and healthcare workers for patient welfare.
- Maintain records, reports, and documentation related to community activities.
- Educate communities regarding hygiene, nutrition, immunization, and disease prevention.
- Support economically weaker patients in availing government healthcare schemes.
- Participate in research and community-based healthcare projects.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, ASHA workers, and healthcare staff.
Qualification
- MSW from a recognized institution.
Experience
- Experience in hospital or community healthcare preferred.
- Freshers with good communication and interpersonal skills may also apply.
Reporting To
- Head of Department – Community Medicine
Additional Requirement
- Two-wheeler bike and valid driving license are compulsory for field visits and community outreach activities.
Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
