Basic Function and Scope of
Responsibilities (other
duties as assigned):
Reporting to the Production Manager,
the Production Supervisor has the accountability for directing the total
activities of the mill production department.
He/she is responsible for our products being manufactured efficiently,
on-time, and meeting QA standards. The
Production Supervisor will effectively back up the Production Manager in his
absence.
Principal Responsibilities:

Manufacture
diets according to schedule that meet customer requirements to QA standards on
a daily basis.

Categorize
all orders daily verifying that all needed information for manufacturing
purposes is on the formula.

Maintain
minimum inventory levels of stock items.

Complete
accurate daily production records consisting of time studies on various plan
operations such as die changes, machine variations, down-time, etc.

Provide
orientation to new employees with training program including developing Key
Result Areas.

Cross
train all employees on shift with at least one other area of production.

Enforce
and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Report
low inventory levels of vitamin and mineral premix to Production Manager.

Other
duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:

High
School Diploma or GED
-
Must
be able to read and write English language
-
2-3
Years Experience in Mill Operations
Training, Skills, Knowledge
and/or Experience:

Good
problem-Solving skills

Mechanical
Aptitude

Good
human relation and communication skills
Certifications:

Certified
to operate a forklift or willing to train to operate a forklift.
Supervisory Responsibility:

Supervisory responsibility

guidance, leadership, or training to other employees.
Working Conditions
Physical
surrounding:
Basic computer knowledge, printer, scanner, and
other machines as required.
Adverse working environment:
Must
be able to sustain daily exposure to dust, noise, heat, and cold.
Exposure
to dangerous machinery and other hazardous conditions requiring safety
adherence to PPE, safety rules, and procedures at all times.
Physical Effort:
Must
be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, reach, and lift at least 25 Kgs on a
continuous basis.
Must
pass a job-related pre-employment physical and drug-alcohol screening.
Extensive Hours: Overtime work could be required based on
production needs.
