We are seeking a passionate and talented Music Teacher who is well-versed in both vocal and instrumental music to teach students from Nursery to Grade 5. The ideal candidate should be creative, patient, and capable of nurturing young learners’ interest in music through engaging and interactive teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach vocal music (rhymes, basic singing techniques, pitch, rhythm, and melody) to young learners.
- Provide basic instrumental training (such as keyboard, harmonium, percussion instruments, etc.) suitable for early childhood and primary students.
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans for Nursery to Grade 5.
- Encourage students to participate in school events, performances, and competitions.
- Develop students’ musical skills, confidence, and creativity.
- Introduce students to basic music theory in a fun and engaging manner.
- Maintain discipline while ensuring a joyful and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers for integrated learning activities and events.
- Prepare students for annual functions, assemblies, and special performances.
- Track and assess student progress and provide feedback to parents when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Music or Performing Arts.
- Proficiency in both vocal and at least one musical instrument.
- Prior teaching experience with young children (Nursery to Grade 5) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and early learning techniques.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Energetic, creative, and enthusiastic personality.
- Ability to simplify music concepts for young learners.
Preferred Qualities:
- Experience in conducting choirs, group singing, or school bands.
- Knowledge of rhymes, action songs, and basic classical or contemporary music.
- Ability to play multiple instruments will be an added advantage.
- Passion for working with children and fostering a love for music.
