Senior Room Service Order Taker (RSOT)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Room Service Order Taker to manage guest orders for in-room dining, ensure accurate and timely communication between guests, kitchen, and service teams, and mentor junior order takers. This role is central to guest satisfaction, requiring excellent phone etiquette, product knowledge, and multitasking ability.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls for in-room dining promptly and courteously, following standard greeting scripts
- Accurately take, record, and process food and beverage orders via POS, ensuring correct pricing, modifiers, and special requests
- Provide guests with menu recommendations, upselling suggestions, and information on ingredients/allergens
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery within set service standards
- Track order status and proactively follow up with kitchen/runners on delays
- Ensure compliance with hotel service standards, hygiene protocols, and confidentiality of guest information
- Support the In-Room Dining Manager with shift reports, reconciliation, and handovers
- Excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette
- Working knowledge of POS/PMS systems
