Electronics, VLSI & IoT Engineering InternRole OverviewWe are seeking a versatile Electronics, VLSI, and IoT Engineering Intern to join our hardware engineering team. This specialized internship bridges the gap between semiconductor logic design, physical circuit layout, and cloud-connected smart hardware devices. You will work closely with senior mentors to design, simulate, prototype, and program edge-computing electronic systems from the silicon abstraction level up to live network deployments. Responsibilities
- VLSI & Logic Design: Write and test Register Transfer Level (RTL) code using functional blocks, and perform logic simulation and verification.
- EDA Tooling: Assist in running synthesis, analyzing static timing analysis (STA) reports, and reviewing clock tree synthesis (CTS) configurations using industry-standard tools.
- Circuit & PCB Design: Create schematic diagrams, select components based on procurement constraints, and route multi-layer Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).
- IoT Hardware Prototyping: Wire up sensor nodes, integrate communication modules (such as Wi-Fi, BLE, or Cellular), and build rapid physical hardware prototypes.
- Firmware Development: Program microcontrollers and processors in Embedded C/C++ to read sensors, handle interrupts, and manage local data processing.
- Network & Cloud Integration: Implement IoT data transport protocols like MQTT or HTTP to transmit telemetry data securely to cloud backends or visualization dashboards.
- Hardware Debugging: Use lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and digital multimeters to find and fix electrical faults or signal integrity issues. VLSIGuru +7

- Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, ECE, Electrical Engineering, or a strictly related semiconductor/embedded domain.
- Hardware Description Knowledge: Foundational understanding of digital electronics, CMOS technology, and HDLs like Verilog or VHDL.
- Embedded Software Skills: Strong proficiency in C or C++ for microcontrollers, alongside basic Python scripting for testing automation.
- Circuit Fundamentals: Clear understanding of passive/active analog components, logic gates, power management, and communication interfaces like I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Problem Solving: Ability to analytically isolate issues across the software, firmware, and physical hardware layers. BeBee +4
Preferred Skills & Software Tooling
- VLSI Design Software: Academic or project exposure to electronic design automation tools from platforms like Cadence, Synopsys, or Xilinx.
- PCB Layout Programs: Experience designing physical boards using software like Altium Designer, KiCad, or Autodesk Eagle.
- Hardware Platforms: Hands-on experience deploying code to architectures such as ESP32, STM32, ARM Cortex-M, or Raspberry Pi.
- IoT Protocols: Basic knowledge of cloud messaging configurations, network sockets, or over-the-air (OTA) firmware update workflows. BeBee +5
