Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with at least 5–7 years of hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems using Node.js. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in AWS, strong knowledge of backend security, database design, and query optimization, along with deep experience in payment gateway integrations, specifically Stripe, Mollie and Adyen, including subscription and recurring billing management. Exposure to AI-driven solutions is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js
- Architect, deploy, and manage cloud-native solutions on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Integrate and manage payment gateways (Stripe, Mollie, Adyen), including:
Subscription lifecycle management
Recurring billing, upgrades/downgrades, proration
Webhooks handling and reconciliation
Payment failures, retries, and invoicing
- Ensure secure payment processing and compliance with industry standards (PCI-DSS, data protection)
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, IAM)
- Optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes for performance and scalability
- Enforce security best practices across APIs and backend services (OWASP, encryption, rate limiting)
- Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and backend technical strategy
Required Skills & Qualifications
At least 5–7 years of backend development experience
- Strong expertise in Node.js (Express, NestJS, or similar frameworks)
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Proven experience with Stripe, Mollie and Adyen payment gateways
- Strong understanding of subscription-based billing models and payment workflows
- Experience in handling payment webhooks, retries, refunds, and chargebacks
- Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
- Deep knowledge of database query optimization and performance tuning
- Solid understanding of security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, secure APIs)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and deployment strategies
- Experience with message queues and event-driven systems (SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Good to Have (Added Advantage)
- Experience with AI/ML integrations, AI APIs, or data-driven backend systems
- Knowledge of serverless architectures and containerization (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Prior experience working on SaaS platforms or high-traffic applications

- Monday to Friday
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
