A Project Coordinator in a construction company is responsible for coordinating project activities between the Project Manager, Site Engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients. The role focuses on ensuring smooth communication, documentation, scheduling, procurement coordination, and timely execution of project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination – Coordinate daily activities between the project office, construction site, management, and other stakeholders.
- Work Schedule Coordination – Assist the Project Manager in preparing and updating work schedules, activity programmes, and project milestones.
- Site Progress Monitoring – Collect daily progress information from the site team and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Documentation Management – Maintain project files, drawings, correspondence, work orders, approvals, inspection reports, and other project documents.
- Drawing Coordination – Coordinate with engineers, architects, consultants, and site teams for drawings, revisions, clarifications, and approvals.
- Material Coordination – Follow up on material requirements, purchase orders, deliveries, inspections, and availability at the construction site.
- Manpower Coordination – Coordinate manpower requirements with Site Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, and labour contractors.
- Subcontractor Coordination – Communicate with subcontractors and vendors regarding work schedules, material requirements, site instructions, and pending activities.
- Client Coordination – Assist in communication with clients, consultants, government departments, and other authorities regarding project-related matters.
- Meeting & MOM Preparation – Organize project meetings and prepare Minutes of Meeting (MOM), action points, responsibilities, and deadlines.
- Billing Support – Coordinate with the billing/estimation team for measurements, RA Bills, quantity statements, work completion records, and supporting documents.
- Procurement Follow-up – Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of required materials, equipment, and other resources.
- Quality & Inspection Coordination – Coordinate inspection requests, testing, approvals, and rectification of quality-related observations.
- Issue Tracking – Maintain a list of pending issues, delays, approvals, material requirements, and site constraints and follow up for timely resolution.
- Project Reporting – Prepare management reports showing project progress, completed works, pending activities, material status, manpower, machinery, and major issues.
- Record Keeping – Maintain registers such as drawing registers, material registers, correspondence registers, inspection records, and project trackers.
- Time & Deadline Monitoring – Follow up with responsible personnel to ensure activities are completed within the approved project schedule.
- Support to Project Manager – Provide administrative, technical, and coordination support to the Project Manager for smooth project execution.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of construction project activities

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
