Job Description: Sales Executive / Sales Girl / Salesman – Departmental Store / Mart
We are hiring Sales Staff for our departmental store/mart. The candidate should be active, polite, honest, and customer-friendly.
Job Role:
The sales staff will be responsible for attending customers, showing products, helping in billing and packing, maintaining product display, checking stock, and supporting day-to-day store operations.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and attend customers politely.
- Understand customer requirements and suggest suitable products.
- Explain product details, prices, offers, and availability.
- Maintain proper display and arrangement of products on shelves.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and customer-friendly.
- Support billing, packing, and delivery handover when required.
- Check stock availability and inform the store manager about low stock.
- Help in receiving, counting, and arranging new stock.
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and proper behaviour in the store.
- Follow company rules and instructions.
Requirements:
- Male or female candidates can apply.
- Prior experience in departmental store, retail shop, supermarket, mart, or FMCG sales will be preferred.
- Freshers may also apply if they are willing to learn.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of billing, calculator, mobile, and WhatsApp.
- Honest, punctual, active, and hardworking.
- Neat and presentable appearance.
- Ability to stand and work during store hours.
