About the Company
We are a growing real estate/development firm (or a firm supporting real-estate clients) seeking a motivated Chartered Accountant to join our finance team. The role offers ownership of tax and accounting functions and opportunity to work closely with senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ledgers, and accounting records in compliance with Indian GAAP/IFRS as applicable.
Manage end-to-end taxation: direct taxes (TDS, advance tax, tax provision), tax planning, preparation and filing of income tax returns.
Handle GST compliance: GST registration, monthly/quarterly returns, reconciliations, input tax credit reviews, and GST audits.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, bank and account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
Assist with statutory audits, internal audits, and coordination with external auditors.
Implement and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation.
Liaise with legal, operations, sales, and project teams on tax and accounting matters.
Provide timely MIS and reports to management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified.
1–3 years of post-qualification experience in taxation, GST, and accounting.
Strong working knowledge of Indian tax laws, GST rules, TDS, and tax filing procedures.
Solid experience with accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar) and MS Excel.
Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Preferred
Experience working in a real estate developer firm or with real-estate clients (highly preferable).
Familiarity with project accounting, contract accounting, and real-estate-specific tax issues (e.g., RERA implications, construction contracts).
Exposure to statutory and GST audits.
