Job Overview- Technical Valves Engineer
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Technical Engineer (Valves) to support valve selection, technical evaluation, application engineering, and customer support for industrial valve projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of industrial valves, international standards, and process industry applications.
The role involves handling technical inquiries, preparing technical documentation, coordinating with internal departments, and supporting customers with the right valve solutions for various industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer specifications, RFQs, and technical requirements.
- Select suitable industrial valves based on pressure, temperature, media, and process conditions.
- Prepare technical offers, datasheets, compliance statements, and submittals.
- Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and sales teams for smooth project execution.
- Provide technical support to customers, consultants, and internal sales teams.
- Attend technical discussions, client meetings, and project review meetings.
- Ensure compliance with international standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, DIN, BS, and ISO.
- Support inspection, testing, and documentation activities.
- Resolve technical queries related to valve operation, materials, trims, and automation.
- Maintain project records, reports, and technical documentation.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of industrial valves including:
- Gate Valves
- Globe Valves
- Check Valves
- Ball Valves
- Butterfly Valves
- Bellow Seal Valves
- Control Valves
- Safety Relief Valves
- Understanding of:
- Valve sizing and selection
- Pressure classes and material grades
- Actuators and automation systems
- P&ID drawings and process parameters
- API, ASME, ANSI, DIN, and ISO standards
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, ERP, or CRM software.
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Additional certification in valve engineering or industrial automation is preferred.
Experience
- 2+years of experience in industrial valves, application engineering, technical sales, or project engineering.
- Experience in oil & gas, power, refinery, petrochemical, or process industries preferred.
